Paul Bierman-Lytle, AIA, APA, LEED AP

Principal and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)
Mr. Bierman-Lytle is internationally recognized as a pioneer expert in the design and construction of “sustainable” real estate projects, beginning his career in 1979 as a graduate of Yale University School of Architecture.  Over the years, he has served as Chief Architect and Planner on more than 150 sustainable development projects spanning 29 years, including integrated mixed-use developments, convention centers, recreational facilities, retail and tourist “villages,” “edutainment” theme parks, and state-of-the-art custom-designed homes.  He was a co-founder of the prestigious AIA, Committee On the Environment (COTE) in 1990-1993, and co-Editor of the COTE Environmental Resource Guide.


James L. Stone, AIA, LEED AP

Principal
As a principal with Group 70 International, Mr. Stone has more than 14 years of experience in architecture, specializing in resort, retail/commercial, and education projects. Mr. Stone is a LEED professional, knowledgeable in sustainable and energy efficient design techniques. He served as the President of the US Green Building Council, Hawai‘i Chapter, in 2007.



 

Jeffery H. Overton, AICP, LEED AP

Principal, Chief Environmental Planner
Jeff Overton joined Group 70 in 1988 as an Environmental Planner.  Today, he serves as Principal and Chief Environmental Planner for the firm.  His work on several Master Planning and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) projects became award winners, recognized by the American Planning Association (APA).  A graduate of Duke University, Mr. Overton leads a wide range of sustainability planning projects for community development, watershed management, infra-structure expansion and bio energy initiatives.


Charles Y. Kaneshiro, AIA, LEED AP

Principal
A principal with Group 70 International, Mr. Kaneshiro specializes in educational and health care facilities with experience in all phases of project delivery. He has successfully guided projects in master planning, programming, design and construction. As a LEED accredited professional, Mr. Kaneshiro  has extensive experience in sustainable and energy efficient design. Currently, he is pursuing an Architectural Doctorate with an emphasis on Sustainable Design for Educational Facilities and is the Green Schools advocate for USGBC/Hawai‘i Chapter.

Katie MacNeil, AIA, LEED AP

Principal
Ms. MacNeil specializes in the design of educational facilities and campus Master Planning.  She has distinguished herself as a project manager, facilitating the completion of complex projects, leveraging technical expertise and good communications in achieving client satisfaction.
